Honda have just announced upgrades to the 250L and a new derivative, the 250L Rally. We’ve had wonderful fun on our 250L’s, travelling some of the back roads and trails around South Africa and have no doubt that the upgrades will add to the ride-ability of the bikes. The 250L gets a new throttle body and silencer contributing to some improvements to the low and mid range power as will the revised air box and larger diameter header.
The CRF250L Rally gets the same upgraded motor and also a larger fuel tank (yay!), new “Dakar-style” bodywork, handguards, a windscreen, skid plate and more suspension travel. And they are both available with ABS brakes.
We’ll report back as soon as we have managed to get a ride on them…
